The Northern Pacific area of Costa Rica has a coastal zone that is considered to be one of the best most beautiful 7 beach stripes of the world.  The major tourist attraction here is Surf. These are the surfer's most heavenly spots. Why?  This area has the most consistent waves in Latin America. Here you can surf every day! Mal Pais and Playa Carmen has smaller waves and Santa Teresa usually has a bigger pick.

Apart from surf, the natural ambience is just perfect. White sandy beaches, Natural reserves like Cabo Blanco, located 2 km's from Mal Pais, colorful relaxing sunsets, shiny stars, full moon nights howling monkeys and small to huge size Iguanas running around. Nature here is just different then any other place I have seen.

Services. Oriented from all over the world is a community of about 700 inhabitants from all over the world. This mixed community is a major asset to the enjoyment of the simple tourist.  Why, well if I need to travel around Costa Rica, I get bored from eating the same food.

So important to have amazing food from all over the world. Between Mal Pais and Santa Teresa you can find it all. Great French and Italian cuisine, real cafes, Restaurants that offer Israeli/Arabic food, big America dishes and since most of the restaurants in town are foreign you get real food always.

Tortuga Island:  This is a huge tourist destination located realy close to the Mal Pais - Santa Tereasa area. The Only way to get there is with a taxi boat. This is a really short ride you can take form Punta Arenas, Montezuma, tambor or even the Mal Pais area. Tortuga Island Is a gorgeous spot to enjoy for a 1 day trip. Don't miss it !!!
