Really friendly owners (Nico and Juan both fab) and their dog, Luca, is lovely. Depending on who is staying at the hostel it can be both a party place and a chilled/quiet place. We saw both sides and enjoyed them both equally. It is about a 15min walk from Plaza Independencia, but it's an easy walk and as it costs less than other hostels closer to the Plaza, it represents good value for money. We stayed there 6 nights and really liked it.

The bed was comfortable, the hot shower was good, big security box, and the place is spotless, the hostee work very hard to keep that place clean, and sheÂ?s very friendly too. The location can be a bit too far, and local transportation is tricky. The kitchen lacks of plates, just one plate when I was there! And for the two nights I stayed, I was biten by mosquitos!

Good and friendly hostel with a pool. Guys who own it are friendly and restaurants / bars close by. About a 15 min walk into town but price more than reflects this. Ps. Double check address as there are two ends of road with same numbers !

Great value! Fun place. The kitchen could use some upgrading, but it was a great place to meet people!

La Cava is located about 20min walk from the main centre of Mendoza so is a little further than most other hostels. The dorm I stayed in was pretty spacious and there was plenty of room plus good common areas to chill in. I was there during the wine harvest festival and the traffic noise was the only problem early in the morning. The shower is pretty ordinary but the placeis kept clean and the hosts are very friendly and will help organise various activities. Be sure to go to the right end of Ave San Martin. There are two 1702s, but La Cava is located two blocks from the Casino, not close to Plaza San Martin.

Beautiful historical building in Mendoza. Really clean, fully equipped kitchen and lots of common space to chill out in.
